Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874-1951) était l'un des éminents illustrateurs américains du début du XXème siècle.Il est surtout connu pour ses affiches, illustrations de livres et ses nombreuses couvertures du magazine The Saturday Evening Post (entre 1896 et 1950, Leyendecker peint plus de 400 couvertures de magazines, dont 322 pour le seul The Saturday Evening Post).
